I tried to translate the Japanese subtitles on the 30sec teaser of SNSD’s “Time Machine”.

『タイムマシンにのって、戻りたい過去はありますか？

後悔してもいい。

同じ結末でもいい。

ただ、そこにあったはずの知りたい過去があるだけ。

時が経てば、

思い出は、色あせていくはずだから。

いま、タイムマシンが欲しい。』

“Do you have a past you want to go back to riding on a time machine?

I accept it even if it would end up with regret.

I accept it even if it would end up with the same last scene.

I just have a past I want to know. The past which should have been there.

Since momories should be fading away as time goes by,

I want a time machine now.”

Note: The plot of the upcoming full MV of the song hasn’t been unveiled yet, so my understanding of each poetic Japanese phrase of the subtitles can be inaccurate or even wrong.
